IndARC multisensor mooring

India’s first multi-sensor mooring was deployed on 23 July 2014 at 78^o 56' N and 12^o E in the inner Kongsfjorden where the depth is ~180 m.
The mooring consists of several sensors located at various depths as shown below

A team of Indian scientists from NCAOR and NIOT retrieved IndARC-I on 15 July 2015 and collected the data of last one year (July 2014- May 2015).

Temperature (^oC) and salinity (psu) profile at the Kongsfjorden using CT sensors from IndARC-I during 24 July 2014 to 15 July 2015.

IndARC-II was redeployed for another one year at the same location at Kongsfjorden on 19 July 2015 with a couple of newly added sensors (as shown below) to measure fluorescence, photosynthetically active radiation, nitrate and ambient noise. The sensors and their respective depths are as given below:
