NCPOR at the 38th COMNAP AGM, Tromsø, Norway

NCPOR proudly represented India at the 38th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of COMNAP in Tromsø, Norway from the 4th to 6th August 2026, contributing to global discussions on Antarctic science, operations, technology and international cooperation.

Dr Shailendra Saini, Vice-Chair of COMNAP, represented India in the organisation’s leadership. Dr Yogesh Ray led the session on Science Facilitation, while Dr Anand K. Singh led the session on Advancement of Critical Technologies, facilitating valuable exchanges among National Antarctic Programmes. The meeting provided an important platform to strengthen international collaboration, share operational experiences and advance collective efforts towards safe, innovative and sustainable Antarctic research and operations.
