Ice Core Laboratory at NCPOR has several state-of-the-art facilities for the archival, processing and analysis of snow and ice cores. The ice core archival facility is maintained at -20˚C, whereas the processing facility is setup in -15˚C room. A dedicated Class 100 Clean room facility is available for clean chemistry studies. Some of the major analytical instrumentation facilities available at the Ice Core Laboratory include: Stable Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometer (IRMS), Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS), Reagent-Free Ion Chromatograph (RF-IC), and Coulter Counter, TOC Analyser and various other laboratory paraphernalia.
